2016 RIO Team Leader - Combat Sports

The Australian Olympic Committee is calling for expressions of interest for the position of Combat Sports Team Leader for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio. This Team Leader will be responsible for the four combat sports: boxing, judo, taekwondo and wrestling. Each sport will still have their respective coaches aligned to them (based on available accreditations).

Attached is a 'Call for Expressions of Interest' along with the application form to be completed and returned to Kylie.Algie@olympics.com.au by the 17th November.

It is anticipated that the successful applicant will be required to travel with the Teams in 2015 to familiarise themselves with all the combat sports, as well as be involved in any high performance camps in Australia. The Team Leader will be the sole point of contact between all four sports and the AOC in respect of Rio preparations and planning.

Both the Australian Olympic Committee and the sports will be involved in the selection process for the Combat Sports Team Leader, with an announcement of the successful applicant due by the end of November.
