EOI - Cadet European Tour, Koper (SLO) and Gyor (HUN) Cadet European Cup, 22 October - 15 November 2024

Judo Australia is seeking Expressions of Interest from cadet athletes to attend the following Cadet European Cups and training camps:

• 26 - 30 October 2024 - Cadet European Cup and International Camp, Koper, Slovenia

• 31 - 7 November 2024 - Training Camp, Budapest, Hungary  

• 9 - 13 November 2024 -  Cadet European Cup and International Camp, Gyor, Hungary.

Judo Australia's proposed tour spans both events, an international training camp taking place between the two.  With flights and accommodation, the total cost to athletes is estimated to be around $3,500.

 

Cadet Development Team members will receive $1,500 funding towards this event. Other athletes are required to self-fund. 

​

The closing date to express interest for this event is Friday 30th August 2024.

 

Selections will be made by Friday, 7th September 2024. 

​

To be eligible to attend this tour on behalf of Australia, all Athletes must satisfy the following requirements:

​

• be an Australian citizen and hold a current Australian passport or have special permission from the IJF to represent Australia;

• have won at least two medals at National Event Series events (or a higher level) since the 2023 National Championships and ranked highly on the Cadet National Points Table;

• not have any outstanding debt with Judo Australia or CombatAUS; 

• have a history of supporting national programs (training camps, international tours etc);     

• have not by their actions or omissions brought themselves, Judo Australia, CombatAUS, or the Australian Team into disrepute or censure;

• be at least 2 kyu, blue belt; and of Cadet age (born 2009, 2008, 2007)

• be a financial member of Judo Australia

• hold a valid IJF ID Card.
