Judo-inspired courses for older adults – Dynamic Balance for Life
An innovative programme grown out of extensive research conducted with Adelaide University, Dynamic Balance for Life teaches judo-inspired and judo-based techniques to older adults to help minimise and control the risks of falling.
Developed by AUJC stalwarts Meera Verma and Michael Headland, working with academic (and new judoka) Dr Agathe Jadczak, the Dynamic Balance program not only delivers judo directly to its programme members, but also seeks to train and certify Judo coaches from around Australia to deliver the programme.
Judo Australia is proud to support this initiative that can quite literally save lies. For those already involved in veterans judo, this opportunity to share the benefits of Judo and inspire others is a natural fit – enquire now to become a Dynamic Balance for Life coach.
