
Judo Australia is seeking Expressions of Interest from Adaptive Judoka who wish to take part in upcoming International Adaptive Judo Competitions.
- February 2026: ID Network Seminar – Japan
- April 2026: Beng 2026, Netherlands
- Other international competition opportunities that may become available as events that are scheduled further into 2026
To ensure the safety, independence and readiness of our travelling team, all judoka must meet the following requirements:
* Be independent with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including personal care, toileting, dressing and eating
* Be able to manage their own medication or require only a simple prompt to take medication
* Be able to be left alone for extended periods without distress or behavioural concerns
* Be age 18 or over at the time of departure from Australia
* Hold a minimum judo grade of orange belt or higher
* Require limited support to take part safely and meaningfully in competition
* Provide a list of current medications (required for emergency/first-aid, also clearance for drug testing)
* be a current Financial Member of Judo Australia via our state organisations

Selected Judoka will be contacted for follow up to confirm eligibility and discuss next steps.
This EOI is for Judoka/Judo Players who are independent and require minimal supervision. If you/your player has high support needs or requires continuous supervision, this program may not be suitable at this time.
