Judo Australia is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified individuals to fill a Non-Executive Director role on the Board of Directors.
In accordance with the Judo Australia constitution, the successful candidate will be appointed to fill a casual vacancy until the 2026 Annual General Meeting in October 2026.
Judo Australia is the National Sporting Organisation responsible for the governance, development and promotion of judo across Australia, the its Board of Directors is responsible for the strategic direction, governance and oversight of Judo Australia across financial performance, risk management and stakeholder engagement.
The skills-based board requires attendance of six to eight Board meeting per year, held online or in person; participation in Board committees, and considerable preparation and engagement outside meetings. This is a voluntary (non-remunerated) position.
Priority skills sought to fill this position include expertise in corporate communications, media, stakeholder engagement, participation growth and community sport development.
