ABOUT THE PUBLIC SANCTIONS REGISTER
The below register is maintained by Judo Australia to support the enforcement of sanctions and uphold the integrity of the sport, in accordance with clause 8.9(b) of the Complaints, Disputes and Discipline Policy (CDDP).
The Public Sanctions Register comes into effect on 5th August, 2026.
Public Disclosure Statement
This register is publicly available and may be accessed by individuals, clubs, event organisers, affiliated bodies, and members of the public for the purpose of verifying current sanctions in effect. It ensures that sanctions are given full effect across the national system and promotes transparency, accountability, and member awareness.
Safeguards and Conditions:
- No person under the age of 18 will be published.
- Information will only be published while the sanction is active. Once the sanction expires, the entry will be removed from the public register.
- Individuals subject to a proposed public sanction will be provided notice and given an opportunity to make submissions as to why their name should not be publicly disclosed, prior to publication.
- Sensitive matters (e.g. those involving mental health, safety concerns, or prejudicial impact) may be withheld from public disclosure at the discretion of the Integrity Unit.
- Regardless of public disclosure, a full internal record of all findings and sanctions will be retained by Judo Australia.
