Judo Australia has set up a National Recognition and Award Committee and we are looking for people interested in getting involved.
The National Recognition and Award Committee will capture the history of Judo in Australia and consider our various awards, recognition and achievement strategies.
The key responsibilities from the committee will be:
Review of JA award policies and processes to assist in the implementation.
Establishment of historical records for presentation within the Judo and Australian sporting community
Establishment of historical recognition of JA history in preparation of celebration of JA’s 70th birthday in 2022, including events, documents, statistics, art, and photography.
Review the appropriate implementation of relevant recognition for bequeaths and donations to the organisation
Establish, review and comply with all relevant policies and procedures for recognition and awards with JA.
Identifying possible nominations for each of the follow:
Nominating for National awards, both sports and higher honours, e.g. Queens List for services to Judo;
Nominations for Sport Industry Awards.
The Committee will have up to 5 members and could include past Presidents or Directors of JA; Life members of JA; representation from past Athletes, Coaches and/or Referees
