Judo Australia Welcomes Chris Erikson as the New Chief Commercial Officer


Chris Erikson joins Judo Australia after having served in many executive positions in his 30-year career in, digital information technology, sport and telecommunications industries.


Chris has worked across numerous global markets primarily focusing on business improvement and digital transformation. Most recently Chris was responsible for Citrix (NASDAQ CTXS) Digital business within the Asia Pacific, and Japan (APJ). Before joining Citrix Chris managed the Natural Resources Industry Segment for the Ariba Line of Business at SAP, he established a Digital practice at Dimension Data an NTT Company, he lead commercial, and market development throughout Asia, Australia and New Zealand with Google Enterprise Geo, he also led The Modica Group, a digital media agency based in the United States, United Kingdom and Australia, and served as Vice President of International Operations for New York-based Diligent Partners.


Chris has also served in senior management roles both client and partner-facing for Hutchison Telecom, Vodafone Plc, Bell Atlanta, and Bell South.

Originating from a strong Rugby Union family his exposure to sports began at a young age. During the past three decades he has worked directly and indirectly with global brands; New York Yankees, Manchester United, All Blacks, NZ Netball, Super Rugby Franchises: Stormers, Canterbury Crusaders, Wellington Hurricanes and The Australian Rugby League.

Today Chris remains involved in professional sport having served as Chairperson of The West Australian Football Commission Council (the governing body for AFL in Western Australia and license holder for the Fremantle and West Coast Football Clubs), Director of Player + Talent Development and Non-Executive Director, and mentors several AFL listed players and AFL list prospects. Chris has served as Judo Western Australia Chief Executive Officer and is currently Director of Commercial.


Chris currently resides in Perth Western Australia with his wife Tania and five Children Emilee, Kallum, Kaleb, Keeran and Eloise.
