Australia’s kata practitioners are looking toward the 2026 World Kata Championships being held in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, this coming September.
To ensure our team is prepared and operations run smoothly, the National Kata Committee has called for an Expressions of Interests from appropriately qualified people keen to take on two key roles – Coach, and Team Manager.

These are unpaid voluntary roles that do not necessarily require travel to the event. If an individual meets all criteria, may be offered to a single person.
The Kata Committee asks that applicants familiarise themselves with the Event Outline (2026 is not yet available, but the 2025 outline can be downloaded HERE) to ensure they understand the role/s before applying.
