International Referee Srdjan Andjelkovic has joined the Judo Australia Referee Committee, further strengthening a team committed to growing and developing Australia’s contingent of judo referees.
Srdjan, head coach at Queensland club, Shin Gi Tai, has been actively involved in the judo community across almost every domain – as a competitor, a coach, in kata, and a highly credentialled referee.
Having secured his IJF International Referee Licence two years ago, he has since officiated at many Oceania Judo Union events, and European Opens. In 2025, he represented Australia as a referee at the 2025 Pan American and Oceania Championships.
He has also been a key supporter of new referees, acting as a supervisor and mentor and contributing to their development and progression both within Queensland and at the national level.
Srdjan joins Lubo Petr as a Committee Member on the team lead by Referee Committee chair, Deepali Mistry.
“We welcome Srđan to the Judo Australia Referee Committee and look forward to his continued contribution to the growth and strengthening of refereeing in Australia,” Deepali said.
