Judo Australia announces resignation of CEO, Emma Taylor

On behalf of the Judo Australia (JA) Board, Mr Simon Read, JA Chair, acknowledges the contribution Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Emma Taylor has made following her resignation from JA.

“The Board of JA appreciates the leadership and commitment Emma has dedicated to judo and the foundation she leaves for our next phase of exciting growth.’

Emma commenced in the role in January 2021 and is leaving at this time to spend time with her family on a travel opportunity.

“As CEO of JA, Emma has engaged our judo community openly, with transparency and a genuine commitment to building relationships. She has also supported the organisation through significant challenges not previously faced by the organisation.”

“Emma leaves us with the foundation in place for our first Learning Management System to drive a new horizon of education and development for JA and a renewed engagement for how we deliver our sport,” Mr Read said.

The JA Board will immediately commence a recruitment process for the CEO position to ensure minimal disruption to our member organisations, clubs and stakeholders. Emma will finish with JA in early December.
