National Pathways Randori Camp confirmed for Canberra, February 24.

Judo Australia once again will hold a three-day randori camp at the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) at the completion of the 2024 Canberra Open, Monday 19 to Wednesday, 21 February, 2024

The purpose of the camp is to provide further opportunity for cadet, junior and senior athletes to come together in a performance environment for a high intensity randori camp that will continues to prepare them for the years ahead. This concept is used around the World for International Competitions.

All JA categorised athletes and development squad members are expected to attend this training camp unless they are overseas as evidenced in their Individual Performance Plan.

Accommodation and board will be 50% subsidised by JA for categorised athletes and athletes on Pathway Development Programs from the Sunday night, 18 February to Wednesday, 21 February 2024 (check-out AM).

We are also inviting athletes to express their interest to be part of this camp program on a ‘pay your way basis’ if they are at the appropriate level to be able to cope with the intensity of the camp.

Places are strictly limited to 45 places for this camp. The cost to athletes not currently on a National Program is

$300 including accommodation and full board and meals at the AIS.

Judo Australia National Coaches will lead this camp.

All selected athletes are required to extend their travel bookings made for the Canberra Open until Wednesday late afternoon/evening. Athletes are responsible for funding and organising their flights. The training camp will finish with lunch on Wednesday, 21 February. Full attendance for the entire duration of the camp is required for all participants.
