One of China's most beautiful cities will welcome an Australian team to next month's Hangzhou Senior Asian Open.
​
Judo Australia welcomes Expressions of Interest from Senior and high-level Junior judo athletes to contest this opportunity to improve their international ranking and build experience. APPLY NOW. An Australian National Coach will lead the trip to Hangzhou to assist athletes in training and competition.

The closing date to express interest for this event is Thursday, August 14, 2025.
To be eligible to attend the Hangzhou Asian Cup on behalf of Australia, athletes must meet the following requirements:

be an Australian citizen and hold a current Australian passport
-
have won at least three (3) medals at National Event Series events (or a higher level) since (and including) the 2024 National Championships
-
not have any outstanding debt with Judo Australia or CombatAUS;
-
have a history of supporting national competitions, camps and tours;
-
have signed the current JA Team Member Agreement;
-
have not by their actions or omissions brought themselves, JA, CombatAUS, or the Team into disrepute or censure;
-
be at least 1st Dan, black belt; and
-
be a financial member of Judo Australia
-
hold a valid IJF ID Card.
This is a self-funded event with athletes responsible for all costs. Athletes are required to book and pay for their own flights, with Judo Australia offering guidance to co-ordinate arrivals and transfer.
Judo Australia will formalise entries and book accomodation, invoicing athletes accordingly. All invoices must be paid prior to departure.
