The Oceania Judo Union's Kata Commission welcomes students of kata to the 2025 Oceania Kodokan Kata Seminar being held in Christchurch, New Zealand in September.
Held every other year, this opportunity is not to be missed.
Led by an 8th dan Kata specialist from the Kodokan, the seminar will be important to all students looking to hone their technical judo and learn and prepare for their next grading. It will also be ideal for existing and aspiring kata judges, dan examiners, and judoka who want to compete in kata at national and international levels.

The seminar is open to current members of IJF/OJU affiliated nations who already know the sequence of the katas and are proficient in all ukemi.
​
Judoka members of the OJU who wish to ratify their rank as a Kodokan grade, or obtain a Kodokan grade with the authorization of their National Federation will have the opportunity to do so.
​
Venue: Christchurch Martial Arts, 6 Forfar Street, St Albans, Christchurch.
