Our Story

Judo Australia has accepted an invitation from the All Japan Judo Federation in partnership with the Japan ID Judo Network to join together in Tokyo for 3 full days of learning and development to further grow Adaptive Judo in Australia.

15 members will be selected to travel as part of an Australian Tour which will be a combination of participants and coaches who have a strong interest in growing Adaptive Judo in their respective clubs and States/Territories.

This will also include latest developments in Adaptive Kata and Shiai techniques along with traditional Japanese ceremonies.

EOI’s are now open for coaches who wish to develop in the adaptive space, along with participants who would like to experience Judo in the traditional homeland of our art.

KEY INFORMATION

DATES

Seminar dates 3rd - 6th May, 2024

Participants will need to be in Japan at least 24 hours prior to the camp beginning.

ACC

ACCOMMODATION

All accommodation and meals will be covered for the seminar by the ID Judo Network for the duration of the camp. All other accommodation prior and post camp will need to be personally funded.

AGE

16 years + only

SUPPORT

All adaptive participants will require at least 1 organised support person for the duration of the seminar.

FLIGHTS

All flights are to be self-funded and should be organised by the individual.

2pm - 4pm | Participants - Traditional Japanese Games

Sunday 4-5-2025

9am - 12pm | Coaches - Kata Seminar

9am - 12pm | Participants - Traditional Tea Ceremony and Games

2pm - 4pm | All - Judo Training

Monday 5-5-2025

9.30am - 11.30am | All - Judo Training

2pm - 4pm | All - Judo Training

Tuesday 6-5-2025

10am | All - Ninagawa Cup - Friendly Shia

1pm - Farewell

WHO SHOULD CONSIDER ATTENDING?

Accredited JA coaches who are actively teaching in the adaptive area along with 16 year old plus active participants, not just tournaments, in the Adaptive area.
