Competition has ended in the 2025 Judo Australia National Championships, with new champions awarded across the two time-honoured forms of judo competition – kata and shiai – across more than 100 weight and age divisions.
Congratulations to all our new champions from around Australia. For a full list of all medalists and placegetters, across Kata and all Shiai divisions, click HERE.
Following the intense competition at Nationals, many of the athletes returned to the mat for further skills development at the two-day National Randori Camp. In the break, Judo Australia’s J-Girls program saw women and girls from around the country gather for some female-only fun, while a Veterans-only session took place afterwards.
Enjoy this cross-section of photographs caught by Alvin Au of APhotoStudio/Momentum Images, a tiny percentage of those available for purchase via his website. Also capturing moments at Nationals were Kahlil Talledo, and Rian Cloete's RC SportPhoto.
