“As we advance with the Play Well Strategy, Judo Australia is committed to fostering a sport environment where everyone, regardless of age, ability, or background, can find a place both on and off the mat. This initiative goes beyond increasing participation; it’s about building a lasting, inclusive judo community that emphasises safety, enjoyment, and respect. By aligning with the Australian Sports Commission’s broader goals, we are helping to shape a future for judo that values physical and mental well-being, making it a welcoming and empowering choice for Australians nationwide.
The Play Well Strategy is not just about numbers; it’s about creating spaces and opportunities where people feel connected and supported to enjoy their judo journey. Our focus on engaging underrepresented groups, supporting grassroots clubs, and fostering lifelong connections to the sport is at the heart of this strategy, and we look forward to seeing these efforts come to life across the nation."
The Judo In Australia Participation ownership belongs to people who will make it happen, from National, State and Territory Federations, right through to Club coaches and leaders.
