Kata Selection Announced for the 2022 Kata World Championships

Ten judoka have been selected by the JA Kata Commission to compete at the 2022 Judo Kata World Championships on September 13th and 14th in Krakow, Poland.

The following athletes have been selected to compete in the respective category as listed below:


Goshin Jitsu - Kevin and Sebastian Murphy (University of Queensland Judo Club - QLD)

Katame No Kata - Yekaterina Malinowska and Alexander Malinowski (Sydney University Judo Club - NSW)

Katame No Kata - Yutaka Wakamatsu and Nicholas Mackey (Hobart PCYC - TAS)

Katame No Kata U23 - Bernhard and Bjorn Tandean (Budokan Judo Club - NSW)

Nage No Kata - Simon and Jacob Read (Southwest Judo Academy - WA)
